Yesterday, the women on our team had the opportunity to attend the 2nd annual WITcon at the Great Lakes Science Center. This event is hosted by getWITit, an Ohio-based not-for-profit organization passionate and dedicated to creating change for women in tech.
The event fostered collaboration and the chance to network with women from a wide variety of local tech companies to share perspectives, best practices and inspiration. From breaking out of your self doubt, to building a conscious career, to delivering a dynamic presentation, so many important topics were covered by the incredible presenters who were willing to share their expertise. There was something there for everyone, and it was tough to choose which sessions to attend when they all looked so informative and appealing!
After a full day's worth of educating, uplifting and sharing with each other, getWITit hosted an awesome after party, complete with a grilled cheese station and access to the interactive exhibits at the Great Lakes Science Center.
