Proformex Holiday Philanthropy Gives New Meaning to Christmas “Miracle”

Dec 20, 2018 3:16:59 PM

‘Tis the season of giving! Corporate philanthropy is engrained in so many company’s cultures, and our culture at Proformex is no different. One of our core values is being “purpose-driven” in every sense of the word. In addition to being ambitious professionally, our team is always seeking out opportunities to make a difference in the lives of others both in our work and our community outreach efforts.

This year, many members of our team were eager to find ways to give back to the Cleveland community for the holidays, and one person in particular provided us all with a very meaningful opportunity to fulfill that purpose.

Tyler Lance, Senior Manager of Business Development at Proformex, heard about a local child named Miracle who could use a little extra Christmas cheer. Miracle, a student in Tyler’s mom’s kindergarten class, tragically lost her mother this year. She is now living with her grandmother and their resources are very limited. It did not appear that Miracle was going to get the Christmas she deserved after such a tough year.

After sharing Miracle’s story with the team, Tyler worked with his mom to get a Santa wish list from Miracle and coordinated with our team to obtain donations and purchase gifts from the list for Miracle. As an organization, Proformex came together and we were able to purchase all the items on Miracle’s wish list and even a few extras.

“We are so happy that we could be a part of making a Christmas ‘miracle’ come true,” said Tyler. “The holidays are a time to give back, if you are so fortunate that you’re able to do so, and it’s amazing how our team came together to check every item off Miracle’s list to Santa. We hope this will help her have an unforgettable Christmas with her grandmother!”

Merry Christmas, Miracle!
