Beck Brings Proven Record Leading Technology Companies
WESTLAKE, Ohio – October 30, 2018 – Proformex, creator of a proactive life insurance policy monitoring platform designed to give insurance agents, advisors and fiduciaries better oversight and visibility into the performance of in force life insurance policies, today announced that its board of directors has appointed Kris Beck as chief executive officer.
Additionally, Mike Pepe, founder, has transitioned to the position of president, overseeing the strategic vision and sales. Both leadership appointments are effective immediately.
“I am equally honored and excited to lead Proformex,” said Ms. Beck. “We are transforming the way our customers service their clients and with technology that matters. A large portion of my job is to accelerate our ability to not only innovate industry-changing technology but to get it in the hands of our customers more quickly, as this platform impacts lives.”
For the past 6 months, Kris has led the development of Proformex’s go to market and product strategy while serving as the company’s chief operating officer, laying the business and operational infrastructure to grow its business into new customer channels.
“We’re proud of our achievements so far in bringing this revolutionary product to market, and I wholeheartedly believe that bringing Kris in to grow Proformex as a tech company is the right move for us,” said Mike Pepe, founder and president of Proformex. “Kris is a technology visionary with a demonstrated history of product innovation and growth. We are fortunate to have such a results-driven, customer-focused leader spearhead our continued product expansion.”
Kris has over 15 years of experience implementing growth strategies at high-growth startups and scaleups. She has deep experience in building teams and software organizations through venture capital and private equity growth stages through to exit. Prior to Proformex, Kris was the Vice President of Product Strategy & Customer Success Operations at MacroPoint, a real-time freight visibility network. At MacroPoint she built the teams, organizational processes and systems that enabled MacroPoint to scale at over 100% year over year revenue. MacroPoint sold to Descartes in 2017 for $107M. Previously, Kris led the global Sourcing business at Elemica, a supply chain operating platform. While there, she led the strategic transformation of a niche consulting practice into a new enterprise software vertical. Elemica sold to private equity firm Thoma Bravo in 2016.
Speaking on behalf of its board of directors, Executive Chairman Lou Schneeberger also added: “Kris’ ability to scale and grow customers combined with Mike’s focus on sales and strategy will enable Proformex to be at the forefront of inforce policy management. Mike’s vision and product concept development for Proformex has been incredible in forging a much-needed connection between the life insurance industry and technology. We are very excited about the direction Proformex is headed in with these new leadership adjustments that more appropriately utilize both Kris’s and Mike’s unique skill sets. “
