August’s theme for our biggest product releases is continuous platform and feature upgrades to keep enhancing user experience with Proformex. Whether you’re a daily power user of the app or someone who primarily interacts with Proformex through data integrations with your CRM or wealth management tools, or Willow (our suite of AI-enabled services connected to the AI tools you like best), we want our solutions to deliver exactly what you need, when you need it, how you need it.
Like your favorite barista who knows you by name and gets your order started the second you enter the cafe, except, you know, with data and insights instead of your half-caf honey cinnamon oatmilk latte and pumpkin cream cheese muffin. (Don’t let anyone get you down, it’s most certainly not too early to start with the fall flavors! We won’t judge!)
SmartDocs just got smarter
With SmartDocs, users can drag and drop important policy documents directly into the app to a) get a policy into the system for the first time if other data sources aren’t available, b) refresh key values for existing policies based on the most current illustrations and statements, or c) add historical documents for richer context on how a policy has performed over time.
Now, in addition to creating these records faster, SmartDocs can automatically detect and route policies based on whether the documents provided were to onboard a new policy, start a policy review, or add more historical context.
The next time you’ve got a batch of carrier documents needing to go into Proformex, you can pull everything in at once and sit back while SmartDocs automatically updates important information and pushes policies into the right workflows for continued work where it’s needed. You’ll get that huge dopamine rush of accomplishing a lot without adding hours to your workday, and that’s a feeling we know can be hard to pin down. So go ahead and take the full credit when your boss asks how you managed to get your work done so quickly. We didn’t make SmartDocs smarter for its own sake – we made it smarter to make you look more like the star you are, too!
Keeping your data quality fresh
An anonymous wise philosopher once said: “Treat your data like milk. If you don’t check the expiration date, you’re going to get a really sour surprise when you try to use it.”
The last thing we want for any of our users is reporting curdled with out-of-date, inaccurate information on clients’ life insurance and annuities. It’s why we’re so focused on data quality and freshness, and in August we’ve added new ways to give you peace of mind that your data hasn’t gone rancid.
By giving Willow access to our data quality models and custom analytics, users can ask questions like:
- “Which of my policies have unresolved data quality issues?”
- “When was this policy last updated from the carrier feed?”
- “Which annuities have a benefit base over $500k and are currently taking income?”
But it’s not just the Willow experience. Users can see data quality flags and information on contracts in our app, giving a clear view of what’s fresh and what’s not.
Stay tuned because we’ve got more work in progress to keep stale data off your shelf, but making sure the milk’s not spoiled is still up to you (for now).
Enterprise users, rejoice!
If we’ve learned one thing from working with the largest banks, broker-dealers, financial institutions, and RIA firms, it’s that no two enterprises have exactly the same needs. But don’t worry, because our uniqueness sees your uniqueness, and how we build our platform reflects that.
This month, we enhanced our SSO login capabilities, and this is a perfect example of us meeting unique needs when no two enterprise users need the same thing. Because yes, all enterprise users want SSO login options, but the nuance of those options and how they can get set up may vary, so we made some technical backend changes to support more ways to use SSO, which makes it easier for us to get started together.

Key things to remember from our August product releases:
- Proformex wants to know you as well as your favorite barista does, and we want it to show in the way we continuously improve your experience with us. We’ll keep that latte and muffin hot for you!
- We take data quality seriously and would never serve you something that’s expired. But you should probably keep tabs on the best-by dates in your fridge yourself. That’s not something we can help with (yet).
- All our customers and partners are special to us, and we strive to provide you with what you need in a way that meets you where you are. Sounds simple, but we know from experience that’s not always the way these relationships go.
