The theme for July’s product releases is continuing to meet our users where they are. We know that for some financial professionals, logging into another standalone platform adds unwanted complexity and effort to their day. We have solutions for that. We also know that for other users, having a single source of truth with business-ready insights to act on and keep track of for life and annuities is important. So we have solutions for that group, too.
No matter how you want to manage your post-sale life insurance policies and annuities, and whether you’re a financial institution, broker-dealer, BGA or IMO, RIA firm, wealth manager, or financial advisor, we’ve identified and created the best possible pathways to working together that make sense for your business and goals. We hope you’ll see that reflected in this month’s biggest changes below.
Have you met Willow?
In case you missed it, our biggest product launch for July was our suite of AI-enabled tools that we’ve named Willow. While there’s a whole lot that comes with Willow, from proprietary analytics to planning scenarios and document creation for reporting, the feature of Willow we’re most excited to share right now is our MCP-standard integration that securely connects Proformex’s life insurance and annuity information directly into the AI tools and workflows you already use. Use Willow to ask questions about your book of business in plain language, surface the insights you need, and keep working without switching platforms.
Here are just a few examples of ways customers are already thinking about putting Willow to work:
- “Compare the annuities in my book to fund data at Morningstar. Where am I underperforming?”
- “Show me unactivated income riders and build an engagement plan.”
- “Which clients have underperforming cash value that could be doing more?”
With any kind of prompt you can think of, Willow securely accesses Proformex’s data layer for every query, every time. Users will only have access to the information they’re already authorized to interact with, and we have de-identified options available to fit your unique data security needs.
We’re particularly excited about the opportunity to work with financial professionals across the industry to finally bring life insurance and annuities information into holistic financial planning for clients, and to do it without adding a new standalone platform to your tech stack.
Current customers get priority access to our Willow beta. Visit our home page and fill out the form at the bottom to request a call with our team.
July’s flexibility upgrades
This month, the app saw several upgrades that give day-to-day users more control:
- Better home dashboard configurability: With this change, users can add new widgets to their home dashboard at any time without overwriting or altering existing widgets, personalize their dashboard layout, and retain all previously saved dashboard settings after making changes.
- Better Task Management Workflows setup options: With a new incremental save button for task steps, users can now save any changes they make right from where they are without needing to navigate to the final step, making smaller changes possible and reducing the risk of losing work. We’ve also added expanded due date and frequency scheduling options to reduce the manual effort on tasks that repeat on a predictable schedule.
- Fewer clicks to get what you need: When you’re configuring the filters on your Task Management screen, you now have one button to click to reset all those filter changes back to your defaults, saving you time on getting back to your usual setup.
- Broker of Record change template and workflow: One of the most common recurring tasks brokerage customers of ours take on is handling broker of record changes. We now have capabilities to streamline this process. Users can choose the BOR Change template to get a better head start on the process and get right to the Broker of Record workflow from the top navigation menu in the app.
A new policy status changes your reporting automatically
We’ve added “Death Claim Pending” as a new option in the policy status dropdown. This change significantly impacts reporting accuracy.
Any policies set to this new status will:
- Stop receiving notifications, letters, and carrier document requests
- Be excluded from inforce counts, dashboards, and AUM totals
- Automatically close any open policy review
For the users who are logging into our platform regularly, these enhancements save time so they can focus more on putting strategic business-ready insights to work.
Bringing it all together
The last thing any financial professional needs is more platform fatigue or tools that force you to adapt your business to them rather than the other way around. We’ll keep building toward a future where life insurance and annuities are a natural part of holistic financial planning by meeting you where you are with the business-ready insights you need.
